Instructions
- Thaw puff pastry sheets according to package instructions.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
- Stir in beef broth and thyme; simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Roll out the thawed pastry to ¼ inch thick; cut into squares or circles.
- Place pastry pieces on a baking sheet, spoon onion mixture on top, and sprinkle with Gruyère cheese.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
