Description
A delicious twist on a Big Mac, served with crispy potatoes, seasoned ground meat, and a creamy sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 pounds potatoes (russet, diced into 1/2 – 1 inch cubes)
- 1–2 teaspoons cooking oil (olive oil preferred)
- 1–2 teaspoons ranch seasoning
- to taste salt and pepper
- 1 pound ground beef, turkey, or chicken
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (or soy sauce)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup mayo (or 3/4 cup Greek yogurt + 2 tablespoons mayo)
- 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1 1/4 teaspoons paprika (regular or smoked)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon white pepper (or black pepper)
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- to taste pickles
- to taste lettuce
- to taste tomatoes
Instructions
- For Air Fryer: Spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil and add the potatoes, fry at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Don’t overcrowd the basket. Cook in batches if needed. Spray with cooking oil and sprinkle in ranch seasoning and salt. Shake to ensure everything is coated, fry at 400 degrees for an additional 5-8 minutes or until crispy.
- For Oven: Preheat to 425°F. Toss diced potatoes with olive oil, ranch seasoning, and salt. Spread on a baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
- While cooking potatoes, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground meat and diced onions. Break up meat and cook until browned and onions are soft, about 6-8 minutes.
- Drain any excess grease if needed. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, optional cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to taste. Cook together for another 1-2 minutes for flavors to soak in. Taste and adjust salt if needed.
- In a bowl, combine mayo (or Greek yogurt), mustard, relish, vinegar, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and white pepper. Stir to combine. Adjust the sauce with water if too thick, for a creamy consistency.
- Divide roasted potatoes between bowls. Top with meat mixture. Drizzle with Big Mac sauce, and add any toppings like shredded lettuce, pickles, cheese, and diced tomatoes.
Notes
- This recipe can also be made using a slow cooker for the meat mixture.
- Adjust seasoning to your taste preferences.
- For a healthier option, you can use Greek yogurt instead of mayo.
