Description

Delicious grilled chicken skewers marinated in a flavorful sauce, perfect for summer cookouts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons minced ginger
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Wooden skewers (soaked in water)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and crushed red pepper flakes.
  2. Add chicken pieces to the marinade and toss well; cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor).
  3. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Thread marinated chicken onto soaked skewers with space between each piece.
  5. Grill skewers for about 4-5 minutes per side until fully cooked (165°F internal temperature).
  6. Serve warm with optional garnishes of sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

Notes

  • Skewers should be soaked in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.
  • For an extra kick, add more crushed red pepper flakes.
