Description

These crispy air fryer butter beans are a delicious and healthy snack, seasoned to perfection.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (15 oz) can butter beans
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp vegan Parmesan
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp curry powder

Instructions

  1. Watch the video for visual instructions and rinse the butter beans, then gently pat them dry with a paper towel until fully dry.
  2. Toss with the oil, vegan parmesan, and spices to evenly coat.
  3. Toss the beans with a little cornstarch (or potato starch or arrowroot flour) for extra crispy skins.
  4. Spread the beans in a single layer in the basket and gently smash them with your thumb.
  5. Air fry at 380°F/190°C for 15–20 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  6. Enjoy immediately or let them cool completely.
  7. Preheat the oven to 380°F/190°C.
  8. Spread the beans on a baking tray in a single layer and gently smash them with your thumb.
  9. Bake for about 25–30 minutes, or until crispy and golden, flipping them halfway through and lightly spraying with cooking spray to help them crisp up more evenly.
