Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1/2 Onion (diced)
- 2 Tablespoons Taco Seasoning
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1/4 cup Water
- 2 Cups Mexican Shredded Cheese Blend
- 12 Corn Tortillas
- Vegetable Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef with the onions in a skillet until brown. Drain the excess grease.
- Stir in the water, taco seasoning and salsa.
- Heat uncovered for 3-5 minutes until the flavors are combined.
- Heat the tortillas in the microwave for 30 seconds and then lay them out on a clean work surface.
- Spoon the taco meat onto each tortilla and top with the shredded cheese.
- Fold each of the corn tortillas in half.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a clean skillet over medium high heat.
- Once the oil is heated to approximately 350 degrees Fahrenheit, place 1-2 tacos in the hot oil at a time. Cook the tacos for 2-3 minutes per side until both sides are browned.
- Once cooked, carefully remove the tacos to a plate lined with paper towels to soak up the excess grease.
- Continue this process until all the tacos are fried.
- Allow the tacos to cool slightly and then they are ready to serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Make sure to drain the grease well to keep the tacos from becoming soggy.
- You can add your favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomatoes, or sour cream.
