Description

This creamy smoothie combines ripe banana and avocado for a delicious, healthy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ripe banana (fresh or frozen for a creamier smoothie)
  • ½ medium avocado (pitted and scooped)
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt (full-fat or nonfat)
  • ½ cup milk (almond, oat, or dairy milk)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup – add more or less to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (optional – it brightens the flavor and preserves the green color)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start with ½ cup Greek yogurt and ½ cup milk at the bottom to help the blades move freely.
  2. Add 1 ripe banana, ½ medium avocado, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon honey, and 1 tablespoon lime juice.
  3. Start on a low speed and gradually increase to high until the texture is completely “velvet” smooth.
  4. If it is too thick, add an extra splash of milk.
  5. If you want it sweeter, add a touch more honey.

Notes

  • Adjust the honey and lime juice to suit your taste.
  • This smoothie can be made vegan by using maple syrup and plant-based yogurt.
  • For a thicker smoothie, use less milk.
