- 1 ripe banana (fresh or frozen for a creamier smoothie)
- ½ medium avocado (pitted and scooped)
- ½ cup Greek yogurt (full-fat or nonfat)
- ½ cup milk (almond, oat, or dairy milk)
- 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup – add more or less to taste)
- 1 tablespoon lime juice (optional – it brightens the flavor and preserves the green color)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Start with ½ cup Greek yogurt and ½ cup milk at the bottom to help the blades move freely.
- Add 1 ripe banana, ½ medium avocado, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon honey, and 1 tablespoon lime juice.
- Start on a low speed and gradually increase to high until the texture is completely “velvet” smooth.
- If it is too thick, add an extra splash of milk.
- If you want it sweeter, add a touch more honey.
Notes
- Adjust the honey and lime juice to suit your taste.
- This smoothie can be made vegan by using maple syrup and plant-based yogurt.
- For a thicker smoothie, use less milk.
