- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 cup diced tomatoes (Roma recommended)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion (sweet or red)
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 small jalapeño pepper (seeded and chopped)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Mash until creamy but slightly chunky.
- Add in diced tomatoes, onion, cilantro (if using), minced garlic, and jalapeño. Mix well to combine.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice over the mixture and stir gently to prevent browning.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste; adjust as needed.
- Serve immediately in a bowl, garnished with extra cilantro or tomato chunks if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier guacamole, leave some seeds in the jalapeño.
