Description
A classic Italian dessert made with layers of ladyfinger cookies and mascarpone cream, dusted with cocoa powder.

- 24 pieces ladyfinger cookies
- 1 cup strong brewed espresso (cooled)
- 16 oz mascarpone cheese (cold)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream (cold)
- 0 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting)
Instructions
- Brew espresso and allow it to cool completely.
- Whip heavy cream to soft peaks and set aside.
- Mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Fold whipped cream gently into mascarpone mixture.
- Quickly dip ladyfingers into espresso without oversoaking.
- Layer dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the layer.
- Repeat layers and finish with cream on top.
- Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
Notes
- Make sure the mascarpone and heavy cream are cold for better texture.
- For a stronger coffee flavor, let the espresso cool longer, or use a coffee liqueur.
