Description
A simple no-churn vanilla ice cream made with heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ounces heavy cream
- 2 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Whip the Cream: In a medium bowl, whip the cream with a hand whisk or electric mixer until stiff peaks form. The cream should hold its shape when you lift the beater.
- Fold in Sweetened Condensed Milk: Gently fold the sweetened condensed milk into the whipped cream until combined.
- Add Vanilla Extract: Fold in the vanilla extract. The mixture may look lumpy at first—keep folding until mostly smooth, but avoid over-mixing to maintain volume.
- Freeze: Transfer the mixture to a freezer-safe container with a tight-fitting lid for at least 2 hours for soft-serve texture or for 6 to 8 hours for firmer ice cream.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use high-quality vanilla extract.
- Make sure the heavy cream is well chilled before whipping.
